Could this Cornelius Fuller be the same as the Cornelius Fuller who was in the Dutchess County, NY, militia in 1758 aged 19 (and so, born ca 1739)? If so, was he a son of Cornelius Fuller and wife (perhaps Patience Chappel of Colchester, CT), as Fuller genealogists have suggested? Supposedly, this Cornelius Fuller (Sr) died around 1790 in Dutchess Co, NY. That our Cornelius (Jr) is a descendant of the Mayflower Fullers is supported by Y-DNA testing - thanks to George Fuller, descendant of Johiel Fuller, for being the first of our branch to participate in the Fuller Y-DNA Project showing a definite connection to Edward Fuller of the Mayflower!
I have set up this website not only so that others can connect to their Fuller roots, but also to see if we can go backwards from Cornelius Fuller to his ancestry. Much of my research was done 10 to 20 years ago when I had more time on my hands. Fortunately, my research has been enriched by other genealogists, and I hope I give them recognition herein. If I have neglected to give someone his/her due, please let me know.
